Liam Gallagher has dismissed recent reports claiming he met with his brother Noel earlier this week, branding the rumors as “fake news”.
Several tabloids had alleged that the Gallagher brothers reunited at Nobu Hotel Portman Square in central London on February 25, alongside Liam’s sons Lennon and Gene, and Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs. According to these reports, the group spent an hour talking in a private room before leaving separately.
However, Liam took to social media on February 28 to deny the claims. When a fan asked, “Is it true that you spoke for one hour with Noel in a hotel in London the other day?” Liam bluntly replied: “FAKE NEWS”. He repeated the denial to other followers, sarcastically adding: “I did, it was lovely, we had a lovely chat and a cuddle.”
An anonymous source previously told The Sun that the brothers were on “much better terms now”, fueling further speculation about their relationship ahead of the highly anticipated Oasis reunion shows this summer. However, a new statement shared with The Independent also refuted the reports, clarifying that Noel was not present and the meeting only included Liam, his sons, and his partner Debbie Gwyther.
This isn’t the first time Liam has quashed rumors surrounding the upcoming reunion, maintaining his characteristic bluntness in addressing media speculation.
