Oasis has done it again! The Gallaghers band has sold out their highly anticipated North American tour dates, creating an incredible buzz among fans as they eagerly await the band’s return to the stage. Nearly 500,000 tickets were snapped up for cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, and Toronto, with the dates set for August and September 2025.
However, the reunion has not been without its challenges, particularly around ticket sales practices. On Thursday, Oasis took to social media to warn fans about fake tickets being sold by unauthorized resellers such as StubHub and Vivid Seats. The band made it clear that Ticketmaster and Twickets are the only official resellers for the US and Canada, urging fans to be cautious.
This issue hasn’t gone unnoticed. The National Independent Venue Association sent a letter to Congress, revealing that at least 9,000 fake tickets had already been sold on resale platforms and calling for an investigation into ticketing practices. Live Nation, the tour promoter, echoed these concerns in a retweet on Thursday, standing with the band in their fight to protect fans.
In response, StubHub and Vivid Seats defended their practices. StubHub’s global head of government relations, Laura Dooley, stated that the tickets sold on their platform are legitimate and pointed out that industry stakeholders often have early access to tickets. Vivid Seats echoed this sentiment, noting that professional sellers often acquire tickets ahead of public sales due to sponsorship deals or season ticket programs.
The Oasis reunion tour has drawn global attention, marking the band’s first major tour in 15 years after their breakup in 2009, the demand for tickets has been monumental.
